THE ARTIST

Can't have a design without a designer!
I severely dislike personal sites so this is as far as I will go with something like one. Perhaps knowing a little about me will help others understand my websites more, anyway. I was born on the same day as French artist Pierre Renoir; I try to be a critical thinker as much as I can, so in many respects, I'm a nonconformist. My philosophical and lack of religious beliefs often lead people to assume that I'm always in general mood of despair at the pointlessness of existence. This is only true on Mondays ;) but generally I consider myself to be a pretty happy person with a twisted sense of humor. I have an innate ability to observe people. This can often make me a bit critical of others, but I'm working on it! Overall I'm a very open, loyal and easily amused person. My mission in society, in the world,  in whatever, means everything to me.

My consistent idols include silent film legend Lillian Gish, musician Tori Amos, historical leaders Malcolm X and Gandhi & even the humanitarian rock star Bono. Although I am passionate about my current studies, I would enjoy nothing more than to take a 6 month traveling trip around Europe & Asia after undergraduate school; not so much to spend money which I do not have, but to do more volunteer work and just meet new people from various cultures. I also want to experience Iceland at some point because, who just wouldn't want too?! On my spare time I really enjoy reading, messing around with photography, graphic design, and painting. I'm also a classically trained pianist, as I studied it for about 11 horrid years; however lately I have not been playing. Maybe the Arcade Fire or Broken social scene will recruit me into their always  growing bands?! This domain is basically a creative escape for me to discuss and share my interests with others. I have a high respect for many of my female peers who I consider to be way more talented than I am, even though I've been doing this web-design/fan-girling thing for a very long time.
